Wardrobe Malfunction

Closeup from Pink & Wrinkly more photos and story there.

"Olympic gold medalist Ricky Berens split the backside of his bodysuit just before his heat in the world championships in Rome, but decided to swim anyway. He won. Unrelated to Berens' butt-crack, swimming's governing body decided today to ban the full bodysuits in future competitions after numerous speed records were broken thanks to their high-tech materials."

Source: Joe.My.God

It is about time they disallowed those suits as many long held records have been broken already. It is too bad they can't go back and swim those races over again. Better late than never?

Brenton's Pole Routine

You've got to see this incredible routine performed by Brenton! He begins in a kilt with BOOTS! Unbelievable strength is required to do moves with boots on and Brenton brings his legs over his head WITH BOOTS ON!!!! I know this because I used to be a gymnast and even shoes made things very difficult indeed. The only problem I have with the routine is that when he finally looses the kilt, he is not wearing it in the traditional manner; with nothing under it!

Landing Mat Ordered Today!

Today I ordered a 7'6" x 4' and 12 cm thick Tiffen gymnastic safety mat for my trapeze. It will take 3 to 4 weeks for manufacture and delivery. I have also located and tried on my safety harness and it is in working order for when I swing on the trapeze.

Sean and I have watched videos of trapeze artists and have decided on how to construct it. We will use a stainless steel bar (about 1.25' diameter), with stainless steel chain attached at both ends with carabiners so that the height can be adjusted. Above that there will be stainless steel cable.

A carabiner

Then I will be able to post photos of myself where I look like this!

Next Big Thing: Single Trapeze!

I have asked Sean to build a single trapeze in our garage (which has ample space for one).

How does she keep her hat on?

This will be me in a couple of years!
