acclaimed NYC photographer, Joe Oppedisano will join the team on "Blue Movie". He'll capture all the images for box cover, posters and editorial. Its like a dream having him on the creative team! Blue Movie goes into production this month. I suggested Joe to Falcon and they were all over it! Because Joe's background is fashion he has a completely different approach to shooting male erotica. He'll capture my smoking hot cast– stars like Dillon Buck and Zak Spears– with a 'trashy' kind of elegance that no one else can! We always collaborate well, I plan to wind him up and then get out his way and let the genius work his magic.
Falcon Entertainment announces today that famed NY photographer Joe Oppedisano will join Steve Cruz and Leif Gobo on their upcoming Mustang film, “Blue Movie.” Oppedisano will shoot all still photography for the film.
Oppedisano is certainly no stranger to Mustang or to Steve Cruz and Leif Gobo. In December of 2006 he worked alongside both Cruz & Gobo on the Mustang film, “Limits” - Cruz & Gobo were immediately impressed with Joe and he with them. Cruz comments, “I first met Joe at a booksigning for ‘Testosterone’, I went with the hopes he might ask me to shoot with him. As it turned out he was scheduled the next day to do photography for “Limits”, which I was a cast member of! We clicked immediately and thus started an amazing professional relationship and friendship. We have worked together several times since “Limits” and when the opportunity arose to direct for Mustang I knew exactly who I wanted for our still photographer.” Gobo commented further, “I’m a huge fan of Joe’s photography and I’m very excited to work with him again - because his background is fashion he brings a fresh perspective to male erotica, his aesthetic is exactly the tone we are looking for.”
Mustang Studios is also proud to include “Afterhours” and “Forced Entry” as films that Oppedisano has done still photography for. Oppedisano commented, “I’m completely excited to work with Steve Cruz and Leif Gobo, these guys share my passion and vision for what male sexuality is all about. I feel a great synergy with them.
