Most Exciting News!

I have the most exciting news! I was out in the yard with Sean, and I spied something in our meadow that didn't quite belong. I went out to investigate and look what I found!

A lupine had volunteered in our meadow! When I was a kid, Verne and I used to ride our bikes to a meadow a mile or so away that was filled with lupines because they drew butterflies and we used to catch them. My hope is that this plant will go forth and multiply and become many plants filling my meadow with lupines. It is so exciting! (Can you tell how dull my life is?)

Beautiful. Nothing dull about that. And the shape of the leaves is interesting.

I can imagine how beautiful it would be to have the whole yard filled with these. Maybe it'll inspire a painting? :)

I've had the chance to see a whole plain filled with lavender when I was young, maybe it was a farm or something. It's quite amazing and the scent is wonderful, it attracted little yellow butterflies and ladybugs. Very nice indeed.

"I think it pisses God off when you walk by the color purple in a field, and don't notice it"

That is what came to mind when I first saw that photo Sue! I rememeber the scene so clearly! (maybe not word for word but very close)

Of course it is one of my favourite movies. And I too hope in time you can show us a whole field full of them at your place.

It is lovely! *winks*
