I was there for a wedding of my dear friend's daughter. It was held at the Fels Planetarium. What a super place for a wedding. Of course there was a show first that made us all feel kind of small and insignificant; think 2001 a Space Odyssey. But the dim lighting was perfect for me.
The bride's dress was a retro look like Nancy Sinatra's These Boot's Were Made for Walking outfit, but with short sleeves. She is a brunette with jaw length hair, and wore it close to her face and added an off-white feather hair clip. The look worked great!
When I gave her the gift check, she demurely tucked it into the top of one of her boots and purred "See, they are for more than just walking."
I loved meeting the groom and his family and I think the match is perfect. I hope they live happily ever after!
I got to play dress up and wear my royal blue velvet dress, that I have lent out more than worn myself. I also wore the scarf I bought to go with it and the earrings that Jason Robards helped me smuggle into this country. (Click on photos to enlarge)
Sean and I had a great time and it was great to see our dear friends again.

LOVE everything ! The bride's gown choice , but mostly your royal blue outfit ! The earings are to die for !!! An that color it's so powerful on you ! Love the ring too ! I'm sure we met before during the roman empire....

You fellas will make a girl blush! Glad you like the earrings Cristiano. I just had to have them as soon as I saw them. You know how that is, I am sure! The ring is a reproduction of an estate piece with a moonstone that Sean bought for me to replace my wedding ring that is now a bit too tight (it has high rails). I am glad you noticed it. :)
Your dress is so pretty! The bride's sounds horrid though (although having not seen it I can't say that for sure.)
Sue, don't you know that you're never supposed to look better than the bride? I know it's hard for you not to look utterly fabulous, but really, put some effort in. :P
Oh G! You have so much to learn! One never speaks ill of a bride. Her look really worked, but I guess you would have to see it.
I only heard on my way to the wedding that it was cocktail, not formal as I had thought. So I did overdress. Mea culpa, mea culpa.
So you were in my part of town? :) The bell was hidden because some crazy dude brought a hammer and rang the bell a few years back and cracked it a bit more.
What part of town is that YvesPaul? We stayed at the Radisson on 17th and Locust. Thanks for providing the background on the bell. I thought I heard some story like that. People are just crazy, aren't they?
Yeah, I live in Philly around the gayborhood. Before that I was in Providence.
